More About Anthony

Anthony brings over two decades of executive leadership experience in defense industrial base investment, acquisition, and technology development at the highest levels of the Department of Defense.

Most recently, Anthony served as Director of the Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Prioritization (MCEIP) Directorate at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment, where he managed a $2 billion investment portfolio spanning Defense Production Act Title I, Title III and IBAS authorities. He developed 5 year strategic investment roadmaps across critical sectors including hypersonics, microelectronics, and munitions, while pioneering public-private partnerships to strengthen defense supply chain resilience.

As Director of the Defense Production Act, Anthony led the execution of over $1 billion in CARES Act appropriations and established landmark Security of Supply Arrangements with allied nations including Japan and Latvia.

Earlier in his career, Anthony led the development of safer explosive alternatives to TNT at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center, earning recognition as one of TIME Magazine’s “50 Best Inventions of the Year” in 2010. He holds six patents in energetic materials technology.

Anthony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and maintains an active TS/SCI/CNWDI security clearance.
